BiosADN
The growing concern referring terrorist activity have generated the necessity of researching new mobile instruments capable of detecting toxic combat agents and explosive compounds in a more simpler, faster and precise manner than today’s technologies. Real time combat field monitoring of such compounds represents a major demand in ensuring an increase security with lowest health risks: healthy safe food and water reserves. Developing sensors for evaluation and monitoring dangerous agents is a military necessity. Thus, the environmental scientific community is preoccupied by researching new analytic techniques having as base portable instruments that can be used for direct detection of chemical an biological agents in the field of action.

This project has as main objective the development and characterization of bio-sensors based on nucleic acids, components of bio-analytics evaluation and monitoring in-field techniques. The analyzing methods, like the one proposed in this research project, can offer valuable informations regarding detection of chemical and biological agents classified with high risk in humans, contributing passively at an increase in overall security. This research project, through the proposed activities, is leading to the development of new scientific bonds between direct involved researchers, stimulating the scientific interdisciplinary collaboration, an essential mechanism of the scientific progress. The goal will be reached by applying new bio-detection technologies with direct contribution in solving problems in fields like terrorist threats counter-measures.
